Kunstsalonen at Kristina Dam

In September, Kristina Dam opened her private home in Copenhagen to Kunstsalonen, a unique art salon. Known for her acclaimed furniture designs and interior, Kristina has the past years expanded her creative practice to include her own artwork, making her home a natural setting for a dialogue between design and contemporary art.

The event brought together over 20 artists, showcasing a curated selection of paintings, sculptures and installations. Visitors experienced art in a personal and intimate setting, surrounded by the warm, architectural interiors where design and art naturally merge. Each room acted as its own curated universe, highlighting Kristina Dam’s ongoing dialogue between design, art and craftsmanship.

Artists included Nina Ekman, Laura Astrup, Kristine Meyer, Emil Hesk, Lui Jacobsen, Hanne G, Kristine Mandsberg, Inger Odgaard, Susanne Storm, Nicholas Imms, Anna Bak, Susanne Ullizt, Pia Engström Agesen, Kristina Dam, Henning Tais Hedin, Rebecca Lajboschitz, Johny Martin, Anne Nowak and Stine Regild.

Kunstsalonen is envisioned as an ongoing series of events, exploring how art can inhabit domestic spaces and spark new conversations between artists, collectors and design enthusiasts.
