Decoration

Kristina Dam Studio calls its smallest objects sculptural and minimalistic accessories, and treats them with exactly the same restraint as its furniture and interiors. A vase, a candle holder or a bowl is never just filler.  It's a chance to bring the studio's architectural language down to tabletop scale. Founded in Copenhagen in 2012, the studio designs decoration meant to be looked at as much as used.

The collection spans vases, candle holders, boxes and podiums across series such as Collar, Dome, Rock and Column. Materials range from terracotta - the Collar Vase is dark brown terracotta, glazed inside to hold water - to wood and steel elsewhere in the range. The highly decorative Sphere Boxes, in wood, double as small storage as much as sculptural objects in their own right. Each piece is designed to stand alone on a shelf or gather into a considered still life.

Decoration is meant to be styled, not shelved out of sight. Group vases, candle holders and Sphere Boxes on a shelf from Storage & Shelves or on a table, where the same considered materials continue from the furniture to the objects on top of it.
