A chair, stool or bench is furniture at its most personal in constant contact with the body, and often the first thing a room is arranged around. Kristina Dam Studio approaches seating the same way it approaches every object: as a sculptural exercise in restraint, where an architect's precision meets an artist's eye for form. Founded in Copenhagen in 2012, the studio designs seating that holds its shape and its relevance for decades, not seasons.

The collection centers on dining chairs, stools and benches across signature series such as Split, Curved and Artisan, in solid oak and steel. The Outline chair runs in solid oak across three heights, with the taller Bar and Counter versions adding a metal/wood footrest at the base for lasting durability. Many of the stools and benches do more than seat one person: pulled up next to the bed, one becomes a side table; left against a wall, another becomes a pedestal for a sculpture or a stack of books. Considered from every angle, each piece works as hard as it looks good.
